Stop. As your feet are washed clean As all in all reveals to the humble & meek Feel its measure, see the change Know the purity of its Name Trace the roots north of here, Again stop: When you appreciate what is truly dear.
Such power in the going. Such as what was can never be the same. Tell me what you see, What you know is to be set free And wonder … truly wonder, how it is to be
Such presence Such presence that in abundance flows What will be. Stop, and know. True transformation follows where such abundance must go.
Another measure, Feel the force behind From whence such it came, From who is to whom it is to find Surely we see it, such as it flows today Winding, finding Every child needing minding In ways unknown, From mysteries untold We step deeper and deeper Into transformation we become keeper’s Not to hold, but keeper’s of fire to burn bold Not only hearers, but fearers Of the goodness of Him from old
So we walk in discomfort Taking the burden from those who know not how To lay it at the feet of Him to whom we bow And flowing, flowing, this northern river covers Dry ground in saturation & encapsulation Of what previously did not Into creatures many and food of all kind Fruit for nourishment and leaves of healing For him who meditates and delight’s in His life
For it is truly He who comes As that which goes and goes As wind or as a river flows Rising, comprising many into One, One in wind, as a current of Will Redeeming as we bow to new direction Into Him who takes us beyond Obselete but good, its dryness gone Beyond what was to new command New life in a river taking us to higher land. And in it we stand…
So stop. And watch.
Waist deep in life everlasting For the wedding to end all fasting. Watch. As the sun burns bright Not just light Holiness cleansing, a fire ever raging For what is of Him, for what Law defines For what is accredited, for the end of time Worthy of more than majesty & splendour Yet such poor words have I A recurrence as words cannot satisfy. Truth. As clear as can be yet never to be seen True? Instead we do see, A Man who has been Now here and near, for Truth lies in the Word, Not words from I, So instead truly stop and watch, For we do not know His time. Watch. As water flows from His side As the Son begins to rise. Watch.
And perhaps only for a moment but yet in order to not forget, Eternity is set in the moment you share As the water ebbs over And a new heart first knows care
Such difficulty and struggle exist Within congregation only looking beyond mist To new heavens and earth, and ways of the first Lead on as we stumble, Lead on till we are humble.
Stop. And watch
Till your heart is full. Renewed once again to be poured out, From the river of the side of One, Who died on an altar, Accursed, Atoning, For all.
So stop And follow His call
